There are many challenges facing construction managers in today’s world compared to the past years. Most of the industries are centuries old, and most of these challenges are direct as an impact of ongoing constructions operations which results in some peripheral activities. Many of the problems are not construction issues but hey must be addressed by the construction manager of the construction project. These challenges and difficulties that get experienced in the construction sites include safety, changing of the nature of work, time constraints among others. Some of the non-constructive disadvantages that may get experienced include environmental concerns, government regulations, and legal issues among others (Kerzner, 2017).More so, there are so many barriers in the entering to the construction industry. The stagnant labor production in the sector is the one that has led to these problems. The heavy competition is pointing to the shrinking profit management as well as constraints reinvestment in the good practices as well as in the new technology. With the firms working with a razor size profit a surprise can wipe out the whole earnings in the firm. The reasons why these problems existing are as a result of design complexity. As designs grow to be more complex the higher efficiency most of this organizations are struggling to catch up (Meredith, 2011).With the new technology construction industry should as well move from the analogous to the digital technologies. The new digital technologies are at a more significant percentage affecting the industry. Therefore, as a way of providing new opportunities to be able to address the poor productivity as well as reduced performance in the industry digitization process should be an option. It is a matter of when but it should happen as soon as possible to be able to curb the challenges in the construction industry (Winch, 2010).
