In this article, we will provide a systematic overview of methods for detecting web spam with an emphasis on fundamental algorithms and principles. All current algorithms come into three categories, depending on the information they use: methodologies, methods and reference methods based on non-traditional data, such as user behavior, what happens, HTTP sessions. Accordingly, we distinguish the subcategory of a category based on links, based on the concepts and main ones used: label distribution, cutting references and rewriting, labeled machines, graphic organization, and function.
